My name is Ricardo Quintana, I am from Santiago, Chile, and I am a photographer and filmmaker at heart. I love art history, creative and social work, and films. I studied at Brigham Young University and earned a Fine Arts degree in Media Arts Studies. Currently based in Utah and always willing to travel.
It all started in 2010 when my cousin needed a photographer to take his engagements. He asked me to give it a try with my little pocket Canon camera. After being pleased with the results they decided to buy a semi-professional camera, and instead of hiring a photographer they asked me to also take their bridals. That is what kickstarted my obsession with portraits and photography.
I actually began working professionally as a photographer in my homeland of Chile. Since 2015, I’ve dedicated more time to actually building a portfolio, and I’m confident in calling myself a professional. I have explored a variety of equipment through the years and have comfortably settled on a Canon Mark III 5D.
Since then, I've photographed many wonderful families, weddings, brides, and friends. Natural lighting is my resource of choice to ensure soft and naturally beautiful pictures. I love working with people and bringing out the best of them.
